Our HCEOs are fully trained professionals, authorized by the Lord Chancellor and the Ministry of Justice, giving them the legal power to act swiftly on High Court orders.

Our High Court Sheriff Service is designed to streamline the enforcement process, minimizing delays and complications that often arise in challenging cases. Once a possession order or debt recovery order is transferred to the High Court, our team works diligently to execute the writ as quickly as possible. We understand the urgency of such matters and are committed to providing a seamless service that helps landlords and creditors achieve their objectives with minimal stress. Whether you need to recover a significant amount of unpaid rent, reclaim your property from non-compliant tenants, or enforce a financial judgment, our service offers a reliable and effective solution to protect your rights and assets.

What is the High Court Sheriff Service?

The High Court Sheriff Service involves utilising High Court Enforcement Officers to enforce court judgments, typically related to debt recovery or property possession. If a debtor owes more than £5,000 or if you need to enforce a possession order, transferring your case from the County Court to the High Court enables more decisive and immediate action. HCEOs have the legal authority to seize goods or evict tenants, ensuring that your rights are enforced without unnecessary delays.

How We Operate

  1. Transfer of Judgment: Once you’ve secured a possession order or a judgment for a debt exceeding £5,000, we assist in transferring the case from the County Court to the High Court to speed up enforcement.
  2. Issuance of High Court Writ: After permission is granted, typically within 14-20 working days, we obtain a High Court writ, which empowers our officers to begin the enforcement process.
  3. Eviction Scheduling: Upon receiving the writ, our officers will schedule the eviction within 7-10 working days. We’ll coordinate with you and recommend having a locksmith present on the day.
  4. Debt Recovery: For debt recovery, our officers can seize goods from the debtor or arrange payment plans to satisfy the debt, ensuring compliance with the court’s order.
  5. Final Enforcement: On the scheduled date, our officers carry out the eviction or debt recovery, ensuring that the court’s orders are fully enforced.
